We are slowly working our way through the Dragon Soul heroics and have 3 down now. Placenik also lead us through some old achievements after our last drinking Firelands. Went through Ulduar and picked up the "Starcaller" title and also made significant in roads towards the drakes. Just a few of the easier achievements to go now.

Madness and Spine have been defeated and the cataclysm has been brought to an end... "until next reset" as Murray so eloquently put it. Now it is time for some heroics and some achievements. Looking forward to some challenges in the Heroics and while we were very switched on the other night and did well to get the last two bosses down in one night it wasn't quite the same challenge posed by Nef or Rag this expansion. Hopefully a few solid weeks will see us getting into the good heroics.

It was the first thing I caught in my chat window when I logged on this morning; someone yelling "Now I'm as pretty as I feel!". I thought it was an excellent way to start of patch 4.3! So Firelands is over and Deathwing is here. I am hoping for some big things out of the new raids, 5 mans and I have already 'mogged my gear :P.

Finally we killed Ragnaros (before any nerfs). We probably should have got him weeks ago with many sub 20% wipes and several sub 15%ers and even an 11% (or 1% really) heartbreaker. Onward towards Heroics! Should be interesting with the incoming difficultly adjustments and mean that 6 or 7 out of 7 may well be within our grasp before Deathwing is upon us.

With Alysrazor and Rhyolith going down we got a chance to work on Staghelm. We went in fairly blind but it was a great opportunity to see where we were going to fall over and what we needed to look at before the next raid. Our aim is to be working on Rag by the end of this coming Monday's raid.

Our first run into Firelands was quite successful; Beth'tilac killed, reputation for fancy new cloaks and good trash loot to appease the hunter gods. All this in spite of server restarts, "that feral druid" and fail tanks multi-taunting spinners.

We knocked over Al'akir and earned our titles and mounts. Congratulations All! Not bad work for a small team raiding only one day a week. From my perspective I appreciate everyone's commitment to the concept of how we raid. Nearly everyone has gone to some significant length to make sure they can be there every Monday. Its what makes it work and will continue to make it work!

After many painful wipes he finally died. Very happy to get him prior to the patch were he will be significantly nerfed. Congratulations to everyone for your hardwork, persistence and enthusiasm for progression!!

After killing Cho'gall last week we thought we might give our first heroic a spin... and we won. Took us a couple of pulls but the heroic version of Halfus was downed. Tough fight for the healers & tanks in the first minute or two! Its a nice heroic to do on the way to killing Cho'gall getting heroic level Chest items and some other BIS gear. We also got the achievement "The only escape" at the same time.

So it was a HUGE week for us in terms of new kills. We knew when we switched our focus to BWD things would die reasonably quickly... but all in one raid... that was a surprise... but only slightly :). It now pushes us to 10/12 and given our limited raid times shows that when we do raid we do it well. Killing Cho'gall also opens up BoT heroics.
